England’s James Morrison opened his challenge for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship with four birdies in a row at the very difficult Carnoustie.
Starting at the 10th, Morrison, who played in the same England youth cricket team as Alastair Cook, birdied 11 through to 14 to take the early lead on four-under-par.
Carnoustie is widely regarded as the most difficult of the three courses that are played and it bit back at the very difficult 18th, one of the toughest finishing holes in golf, where Morrison had his first bogey of the day to bring him back to three-under-par at the turn.
