Hatton teams up with Jamie Dornan again
ST ANDREWS, October 3, 2017 – Defending champion Tyrrell Hatton will be delighted he has once again been paired with actor Jamie Dornan in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship which begins on Thursday.
After his victory in the individual competition last year, Hatton praised Dornan for the support he received. He said: “I was relaxed all week and I certainly think that the format of the tournament, playing with Jamie and having fun all four days, really helped.”
Two of the most successful pairings in the Team Championship have been drawn together again – Padraig Harrington & J.P.McManus, who won in 2002 and 2006, and Robert Karlsson & Dermot Desmond, victors in 2008.
One of the most popular teams for the galleries to follow at the Old Course St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns will be World No.6 Rory McIlroy and his father Gerry, who last played together in 2014 during which Gerry celebrated his 55th birthday.
The draw has thrown up some other fascinating pairings: Lee Westwood plays with music star Ronan Keating; Robert Rock is reunited with Westlife singer Brian McFadden; former World No.1 Luke Donald partners Jamie Redknapp; Graeme McDowell joins Sir Anthony (A.P.) McCoy, while 2013 individual winner David Howell has been drawn with Matthew Goode.
