Tom Chaplin

Singer-songwriter and lead vocalist of British alternative rock band Keane, which sold more than ten million records.

The band was inactive for five years from 2013 during which Tom released a solo album The Wave, which he followed the next year with Twelve Tales of Christmas.

The band returned after the hiatus with their fifth studio album entitled Cause and Effect, which was released in September 2019.

His grandfather was a golf mad headmaster of a prep school and designed a course in the grounds where Tom began to play.

Says he can perform at Wembley without a problem but has never felt as frightened as when he teed up on the 1st hole at St Andrews in 2015.

A member of Rye in Kent, this is his sixth appearance in the Alfred Dunhill Links.
