Tom Chaplin

Singer-songwriter and lead vocalist of British alternative rock band Keane, which sold more than ten million records.

The band was inactive for five years from 2013 during which Tom released a solo album The Wave, which he followed the next year with Twelve Tales of Christmas.

The band returned after the hiatus with their fifth studio album entitled Cause and Effect, which was released in September 2019.

Says he can perform at Wembley or Live 8 without a problem…’but I’ve never felt as frightened as when I teed up on the 1st at St Andrews in 2015.’ Says he swings like a scratch golfer, but his short game is a disaster.

A member of Rye in Kent, this is his fifth appearance in the Alfred Dunhill Links.
