Matt Kuchar

Came close to a maiden Major title at The 2017 Open Championship going toe-to-toe with fellow countryman and eventual champion Jordan Spieth during the final round at Royal Birkdale.

Has competed in The Ryder Cup for times and most recently served as a vice-captain for Team USA at The 2018 Ryder Cup.

First took up the game aged 12 when his mother, Meg, upgraded the family’s country club membership to include golf. He and his father, Pete, a keen tennis player who was once ranked number one in doubles in the state of Florida, were both soon hooked on the game.

Kuchar made rapid progress through the amateur ranks before winning the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1997.

Produced some outstanding golf to claim the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games for Team USA.

Met his wife, Sybi, during their time together at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2009, the pair teamed up to win the consolation title in the United States Tennis Association’s National Husband & Wife Doubles Championship, held at the ATP Headquarters in Florida.
