Kevin Pietersen

South African-born cricketer, now retired.

He had an English mother so qualified to play for England, which he did with flamboyant style between July 2005 and January 2014, playing 104 Test matches and scoring 8,181 runs.

He was hugely popular for his ferocious hitting and he became the fastest to reach 1,000 and 2,000 runs in One Day Internationals and 4,000, 5,000 and 7,000 Test runs.

He is a member of Wentworth in the UK.

This is his seventh Alfred Dunhill Links.

Ironically, he says one of his best memories was hitting the 1st fairway last year after missing on the four previous occasions.

He is a passionate environmentalist and works to save rhinos from extinction by raising funds to support anti-poaching efforts.
