Alfred Dunhill Links Foundation

Since its inception in 2001, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship has raised significant funds for a variety of worthy causes.

Charitable funds have continued to grow significantly from the proceeds of the Championship and from other related activities.
The Foundation serves as the charity responsible for the management and distribution of these funds to a variety of charities and benevolent organisations that carry out worthy causes both within Scotland and further afield.

While the Trustees consider all applications from charitable and benevolent organisations for financial support, the Foundation focuses on the following causes which have been closely associated with the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the community of St Andrews.

These include:

  • The development of amateur golf in Scotland and in South Africa
  • The preservation of the historic town of St Andrews
  • The support of the University of St Andrews
  • The support of charities with a link to St Andrews.
