The greatest ever surfer, Kelly Slater has been world champion a record 11 times, including winning five consecutive titles between 1994 and 1998.
He is the youngest ever to win, at 20, and the oldest, at 39.
Received the Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award and returned to competitive surfing this year as a wildcard at the Lexus Trestles Pro in June.
Is regarded as a lucky mascot by the pro’s after partnering Simon Dyson in 2009 and Thorbjorn Olesen in 2015 when they won.
In the 2009 Team Championship, he finished third with Dyson, which he described as ‘the best week of golf in my life.’
Plays mostly at Makena in Hawaii and Goat Hill in San Diego.
