Bass guitarist for US band Linkin Park which rose to fame with their debut album Hybrid Theory in 2000, which went diamond in the US and platinum in several other countries.
In total the band have sold 70 million albums and 30 million singles worldwide. Plays his golf at Coto de Caza in Orange County, California.
This is the ninth time he has played in the Alfred Dunhill Links.
Says his best moment was starting birdie, net birdie, birdie at Carnoustie and thinking for a moment he had worked the game out. Also recalls one year missing the cut and going with a group to play Kingsbarns on the Sunday which morphed into an eightsome, including Bill Murray, Kelly Slater and Tico Torres. He says “with golfers, caddies, onlookers and friends it was chaos.”
