Louis Oosthuizen

A stellar amateur career included a partnership with fellow future Major winner Charl Schwartzel as part of the winning South African team at the 2001 World Junior Team Championships – the pair teamed back up in the 2011 World Cup of Golf.

Highlight of his career was lifting the Claret Jug in 2010, cruising to a seven-stroke victory at St Andrews in just his ninth Major appearance.

Completed a ‘Career Slam’ of runner-up finishes in Major Championships when he came joint second in the 2017 US PGA Championship.

Many of those near misses remain highly memorable, from his play-off defeat to Zach Johnson in the 2015 Open Championship to his final round albatross at the 2012 Masters Tournament, which ultimately ended in a losing play-off to Bubba Watson.

Claimed an emotional victory in 2019, which broke a near three year winless drought, when he won the South African Open hosted by the City of Johannesburg for his ninth DP World Tour title.

Ended a five-year wait for his tenth DP World Tour title as he finished two strokes ahead of childhood friend Schwartzel at the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek.
