Kyle MacLachlan

Celebrated American actor, born in Yakima in Washington state. He made his screen debut in the David Lynch adaptation of Dune in 1984, which he followed two years later with Blue Velvet. Perhaps his most famous role was as Special Agent Dale Cooper in Lynch’s enigmatic TV series Twin Peaks in 1990, which won him a Golden Globe and a pair of Emmy nominations. Has also appeared in Oliver Stone’s film The Doors, HBO’s Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives. This is his tenth Alfred Dunhill Links. Says his greatest moment in golf was playing in the last group with Paul McGinley in 2001. Also made the cut with McGinley in 2013. He is a partner in a Washington winery which has produced its own label of cabernet called ‘Pursued By Bear’, after a stage direction in the Shakespeare play The Winter’s Tale.
