Hatton heads Dunhill Links champions in US PGA

This week’s US PGA Championship will feature a strong contingent of former Alfred Dunhill Links Championship winners competing for glory in the year’s second Major at Quail Hollow in North Carolina.

The field includes the last three winners of the Alfred Dunhill Links in current champion Tyrrell Hatton, plus fellow Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick and New Zealand’s Ryan Fox.

Frenchman Victor Perez is also in the PGA Championship field as the winner of the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links, making it four of the last five winners taking part this week.

Denmark’s Thorbjørn Olesen is another former winner competing this week, having won the title in 2015.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship representation at Quail Hollow is further strengthened by Martin Kaymer and Padraig Harrington, who tee up this week as winners of both the Dunhill Links and the PGA Championship.

The tournament’s sister event in South Africa, the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek, also features representation with its 2020 champion Christiaan Bezuidenhout joining an impressive group of South Africans trying to win the Major.
